Hearing Assessment

Adults

Pure Tone Audiometry

The child will be asked to respond to sound by performing a task such as placing a block into a box.

Newborn Hearing Screening

Otoacoustic Emissions (OAEs)

Auditory brainstem response (ABR)
Evaluates how well sounds travel along the hearing nerve from the ears to the brainstem.

All Ages

Impedance Audiometry (IA)
Assesses the status of the tympanic membrane and the middle ear.
